Overview
The following vacancy exists for a Research Assistant role at the Forest Sector Charter Council (FSCC). If you are interested in the position, we invite you to apply in writing:

5-year Contract
Salary: R370 000.00 per annum (all-inclusive salary package)

Should you have a foreign qualification, it must be accompanied by an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA). Failure to submit all the requested documents will result in the application being disqualified. Correspondence will be limited to short-listed candidates only. Suitable candidates will be subjected to a personnel suitability check (criminal record check, financial record check, qualification or study verification, and previous employment verification), psychometric, and skills/knowledge test. Successful candidates may also be subjected to security clearance processes. Successful candidates will be appointed on a probation period of six (6) months. The FSCC reserves the right not to make an appointment to the advertised posts.

Experience:
-
Two years working experience in industry;

Research work in councils and the understanding thereof;

Expert in B-BBEE as Amended Act, Amended Forest Sector Code and related Legislation;
Job purpouse:
Main purpose is to collect, organise, analyse and interpret data and opinions to explore issues, solve problems and predict trends within the forestry sector and B-BBEE. It is imperative to provide recommendations from the findings of the project. This position also requires assisting the Researcher when required.
